My teaching skills include designing lesson plans, teaching the alphabet and numbers, helping children develop social and emotional skills, and organizing fun field trips to the zoo.In the wrong example, you tell the hiring principal youve done teaching tasks, but it doesnt tell them how well you perf ormed them. That first one makes you look like Professor X.This brief paragraph gives an overview of your kindergarten teaching experience, followed by accomplishments with numbers to validate your skills.NowWhat if youve never taught professionally?Use a resume objective, which states your career goals as a future teacher. Like the summary, achievements with numbers still verify your abilities.Heres a sample career objective for teacher jobs:Elementary Teacher Resume Objective ExamplesrightDependable child care worker with 2+ years expertise supervising and nurturing toddlers and preschool-aged children. Seeking to leverage skills with child development and 100% parent satisfaction to become the next kindergarten teacher at Henry Gradstein Elementary School.wrongIve been a daycare worker for more than 2 years now, and it has helped me learn skills and abilities related to teaching small kids. I supervised children, kept them safe, and helped to ensure that their hygiene was up to st andard.Youre coming from a child care background, but the second one goes about it all wrong. Its as frightful as the schoolyard bully. That first example, though, is a winner. You showed how your experience from a different career path is transferable to being a kindergarten teacher. And you backed it up with numbers. Also, you dropped the schools namea simple method of scoring extra credit points from the get-go!Pro Tip: A kindergarten teacher resume starts with an objective or summary, but write it last. Brides Have You Heard About Storymix

Brides Have You Heard About Storymix I am a newlywed and my wedding pictures/video are the best money I ever spent. My whole house is covered in wedding pictures and they make me happy every day. But I spent a lot. And had I met my friend Ariane a few months earlier, I might not have had to. Meet Story Mix, a company that takes your guests footage of the wedding (via an app guests can use on their smart phones or provided digital cameras) and makes it into something wonderful- a story if you will.  Its so great to meet at least one company thats making something more affordable in the wedding space.  Lord knows, brides need to catch a break whenever they can. I love the idea of Storymix because there are moments that even two hired photographers and videographers could never catch.  The behind the scenes stuff. The stuff that makes your people, well, your people. The view from the pews at church, the moment Grandma starts dancing with her vodka bottle before the wedding, the moment your college buddies are telling funny stories about you between the reception and ceremony. Check out these unique wedding day photo ideas and definitely check out Story Mix. Also a great app to use for kid birthday parties, holidays, personal achievements and professional events you want to capture. PS- This is NOT a sponsored post, I just truly love Ariane and the work she is doing.  She also happens to be a developer and a mother of SIX kids. My respect for her is infinite. On the Job by Anita Bruzzese CIA Officers Share Tips on How to Detect A Lie

On the Job by Anita Bruzzese CIA Officers Share Tips on How to Detect A Lie Theres an episode of the old Gilligans Island television show wherethe castaways eat seeds that make mind reading possible. While it seems fun at first, the Gilligan gang soon finds out that sometimes its best not to know what everyone is thinking all the time. But wouldnt you like to know what your boss is thinking? Wouldnt you like to know whether someone at work is telling you the truth or not? There may be a way to do that without eating some seeds on a fictional island. If you take the advice of some of the bestlie detectorsin the world CIA officers then you may be able to glean when the boss is fibbing about giving you a raise or a co-worker is lying about meeting a deadline. Such information can be helpful in making career decisions and avoiding missteps that can get you off the fast track. In a new book,Spy the Lie,three former CIA officers share decades of experience in recognizing deceptive behavior and how you can apply their methods to everyday work situations. One of the authors, Michael Floyd, has spent 35 years finding the truth for the CIA and the National Security Agency. While he says that you dont want to use these methods to decide who is lying about a romantic weekend liaisonwhile gossiping around the water cooler, it can come in handy in more critical work situations, such as ajob interviewor to discover who may be cheating on an expense report. The authors stress that the average person often doesnt detect untruths because he or she believes that others simply wont lie or they are just uncomfortable judging someone else. In addition, sometimes we rely on beliefs by others that a person is honest, so we dont look deeply enough and take everything at face value, they say. Were not human lie detectors, Floyd says of his fellow authors, Philip Houston and Susan Carnicero. But weve developed a method to help spot deceptions based on our experiences, in real-world situations. One of the indicators that a person may be lying is a cluster of behavior. Exhibiting whats considered one suspicious action isnt enough to show someone is being deceitful, they say, butseveralclues should put up your radar. Listening for lies Some of the verbal cues that someone is not being truthful include: Failing to answer. Dodging a direct answer to your question may indicate the person is trying to come up with a good answer because he or she doesnt want to admit the truth. Denial. If you ask someone, Did you do it? and he or she answers (read the rest here)

How to Choose the Best Online Resume Writing Service

How to Choose the Best Online Resume Writing ServiceWhen you need a great resume that you can present to prospective employers, there are some things you need to be aware of before you begin to look for the best online resume writing service. What you will want to focus on when choosing an employer is the fact that this is the first step to getting hired and your potential employer is going to go right to the best candidates for the position if they are qualified.Employer profiles are very important, but if your resume is not good enough, it could easily make the difference between being hired and being passed over. This is because employers have many ways of judging a candidate, which is why you need to keep this in mind before you start looking for an employer. You also want to make sure that the employer will look for you again if they find another company uses your work for their own purposes.Job seekers need to focus on creating an employer profile that includes all of the skill s they have as well as those that they have the potential to learn. An employer is looking for someone who can pick up the type of work they are doing and if they are finding that this is not a skilled task, they will likely pass you by. Therefore, you need to emphasize your ability to do so in your resume. You want to also consider the things that the employer would like to see in a potential employee. These should include things such as extracurricular activities as well as current achievements and awards. They also like to see current references that relate to the position that you are applying for. At the same time, you also want to have current job references that you can ask about your application. The employer may want to know if you have any career goals or if you think you are fit for a particular position. They also need to know the type of person you are and this can be a tricky question. You should try to provide them with clear answers that help them know exactly what to expect from you.Ensure that you put your most recent achievements in your resume, as well as how long you have been employed in your current position. If you have more than ten years of experience in a particular position, you will want to emphasize that. However, do not only focus on your work history. This is part of your overall resume presentation and it will show that you took the time to create a professional resume instead of just putting a few sentences together. It is important that you know what types of jobs employers are looking for. While this may not always be the case, you will want to focus on these categories: computer experts, designers, copywriters, web designers, mathematicians, or electrical engineers. All of these industries are very varied and if you have some experience working in one of these types of fields, you will want to highlight that as well. One thing that you should remember when choosing an online resume writing service is that they can be very expen sive. Therefore, you want to be very aware of the service that you choose. However, there are some companies that are better than others and they may even offer you some benefits as well.

You Cant Have A Website Without It Being Optimized

You Cant Have A Website Without It Being Optimized A good website really is going to carry your business from success to success. We love that the internet is growing at such a fast pace, and there’s now such advanced search engines for our websites to be found on. But, with all the advancements that seem to be happening, some websites are falling before. Some just simply aren’t keeping up with the times, and it’s one of the reasons why some companies out there just aren’t getting the sales that they so badly need through the internet. Considering everyone prefers to shop on the internet rather than going into a store now, we would say it’s pretty imperative that any of you who do suffer with internet sales, read this article. Because one thing that can really help your website with sales is optimization. A website can be optimized in a couple of ways, and it really does have benefits for your profit, and for your customers. If you haven’t thought about it before, or don’t really know what ways it’s possible to optimi ze a website, then have a read of this to find out more! SEO Optimized Let’s start of with one of the biggest ways to optimize your website, and that’s SEO. SEO is one of the biggest marketing techniques out there, and it’s one of the best ways that you can get yourself noticed in search engines. By using various techniques, SEO boosts your website up the pages on Google, and allows you to be seen before many other of your potential competitors. But, it doesn’t happen easily, and it can take time. A lot of people go for black hat SEO as it gets faster and often more reliable results. But, it does come with its risks, and some companies faced being penalised if they have too many spammy backlinks. But, other chose white hat, which is a lot more secure, but doesn’t have as many reliable results. As a business, this is a technique that we highly recommend you go for, but you definitely need to make sure that your website is SEO optimized so that you can get the best results. One thing you need to check is what the best seo platform is. Platforms like WordPress has its pros and cons, but it might not necessarily be the best to optimize for SEO. Once you’ve found the best platform, the  first way of doing this is to ensure you have keyword based titles. This means that any keywords you think customers would search for to find products, or information, should be in some of the titles on your website. You also need to make sure you have a good sitemap. SEO works as ‘robots’ crawl the internet, go through websites, and read the information on every page of your website. If you have a sitemap, it’s so much easier to navigate, and it shows a more structured website! Conversion Rate Optimized Conversion rates are monitoring how much traffic that’s flowing through your website, actually turns into customers. Because for all of the people that come through your website, only a handful of them will actually complete what they came to do. Others will have a look around, probably figure out that they don’t like the look of your website, the right product isn’t there, or the price of your products aren’t the best, and they’ll take themselves elsewhere. The main way that you can optimize your website in this area, is to make sure that you’re giving your customers a clear direction. If the website flows, they’re more likely to complete what they came on your website to do. The second option you have is to actually optimize the website using various different techniques, such as these, and then hire a company that will use software to measure it. You’ll then be able to see clear statistics of who is doing what, and how many conversions you’re actually getting. Yo u’ll then have data to analyse, and will be able to formulate a plan of the areas that might be suffering a little bit more, and the areas that are thriving on your website. The Benefits You’re Going To Find With both of these techniques, the main benefit that you will find is that your sales should increase. If you’re using both of these techniques, you’re going to put yourself in a better position for growth, as the likelihood of you being able to attract customers, and then make sure they’re turning into conversions, is much higher!
